The pandemic of COVID-19 has a huge impact globally across all sectors even within JWD Group, we have to adopt social distancing policy and many more. Many of us may curious about our business performance in the first quarter of 2020 whether it has been adversely affected by the pandemic. Today we will give you an update.
The Company is confident of its ability to maintain its overall Q1/2020 performance at a satisfactory level compared to the overall situation in the industry despite the serious outbreak of the COVID-19. “Due to the pandemic situation that is directly affecting the overall picture of the economy, we still believe that the impact on the logistics and supply chain service businesses will be slow in coming because the transport of goods and merchandise remains necessary in every situation.
The Company’s Board of Directors has appointed the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) Committee to draw up the BCP for every possible scenario – for customer interaction work, support work and businesses in foreign countries.

The opening ceremony of barge terminal A at Laem Chabang Port
On 13 March, Mr. Charvanin Bunditkitsada, CEO attended as honored guests at the opening ceremony of the Barge Terminal A at Laem Chabang Port. JWD is awarded to operate container lifting and transport services in and out of Coastal Terminal A. The ceremony was presided over by Dr. Atirat Ratanasate, Deputy Minister of Transport.
JWD executives join a replaced spirit house ceremony at DG
On 13 March at 9.36 am, JWD executives and employees joined a replaced spirit house ceremony at Dangerous Goods Terminal.
JWD joins ‘Opportunity Day’ and ‘Analyst Meeting’ events
On 12 March, Mr. Charvanin Bunditkitsada, CEO and Dr. Eakapong Tungsrisanguan, CFO attended the ‘Opportunity Day’ and’ Analyst Meeting’ events, during which they highlighted JWD’s business plan and FY2019 performance figures, including the net profit of 362 million baht, an increase of 62 percent – the best performance in five years.

On 10 March, Mr. Charvanin Bunditkitsada, CEO received the THAILAND TOP COMPANY AWARDS 2020 for the best transport and logistics service provider category.
