JWD selected into SET’s 2018 list of THSI stocks

JWD was selected for inclusion in the Stock Exchange of Thailand’s (or SET’s) 2018 list of Thailand Sustainability Investment (or THSI) stocks. Its innovative DG-Total, an integrated system for management of dangerous goods, was praised as the national model for dangerous goods management due to its capacity to provide safety mechanisms for the entire process, including in upstream and downstream businesses, as well as measures to reduce environmental and community impacts and accidents and respond promptly to incidents about dangerous goods and chemicals.

JWD met SET’s environmental, social and governance (or ESG) standards as stated in the questionnaire, scoring at least 50 (out of 100) for each of them. Only 79, or 11%, of the 698 stocks on SET were selected into the THSI list!

SET invites JWD to lecture on basic knowledge for IR professionals

On 28 October, at SET’s invitation, Dr. Eakapong Tungsrisanguan, JWD’s CFO, gave a lecture in a course entitled “Basic Knowledge for Investor Relations Professionals”, sharing his knowledge with young investor relations officers.

JWD holds supply chain disruption seminar

On 26 October, Mr. Wichu Sangkorntanakij, JWD’s COO, spoke in a training seminar entitled “Supply Chain Disruption : Changes and Challenges Ahead in Logistics and Supply Chain Businesses”, which was held at Bangkok Inter Place Hotel and attended by more than 60 JWD executives and employees.

JWD lectures in IPO Roadmap course (4th session)

On 19 October, at SET’s invitation, Dr. Eakapong Tungsrisanguan, JWD’s CFO, lectured in the the fourth session of IPO Roadmap course, sharing his insights about how a business owner can have strategic access to a capital market.

Kuehne + Nagel executive visits JWD’s cold storage

On 18 October, JWD’s executives welcomed Mr. Bjoern Schoon, Kuehne + Nagel’s managing director for Thailand, Cambodia and Myanmar, during his visit to JWD’s Mahachai cold storage facility to explore the opportunity for future cooperation.

JWD welcomes representatives from JICA and PAS

On 16 October, JWD’s executives welcomed representatives from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Cambodia’s Sihanoukville Autonomous Port (PAS) during their visit to JWD’s sites, including at Laem Chabang Port.

JPAC holds 2018 merit-making ceremony

On 12 October, JWD Pacific (JPAC) held its annual merit-making ceremony (including giving alms, making merit and sponsoring a meal to monks) to mark an auspicious start for the company and its employees.

BAY invites JWD to speaks during “Understand Logistics Industry and Business Models” seminar

On 9 October, at the invitation of Bank of Ayudhya (BAY), Dr. Eakapong Tungsrisanguan, JWD’s CFO, delivered a speech in a seminar entitled “Understand Logistics Industry and Business Models” before more than 200 participants.

JWD joins the grand opening ceremony of Thang Long Logistics Centre in Vietnam

On 4 October, Mr. Charvanin Bunditkitsada, JWD’s CEO, congratulated Transimex Corporation, a leading logistics provider in Vietnam, on successfully inaugurating their Thang Long Logistics Centre.

PCS, JPAC, JPK hold training on FSSC 22000, ISO 22000:2018

On 3, 4 and 9 October, JWD’s cold chain arms (PCS, JPAC and JPK) organised training on FSSC 22000 and ISO 22000:2018 at the seminar room of Pacific Cold Storage, during which Mr. Prawit Khieorayab from BSI shared his knowledge about the subject.

FSSC 22000 (FSSC stands for Food Safety System Certification) is a standard that guarantees safety in food production. JWD is working to obtain FSSC 22000 certification.
