JPK Wins 2019 Excellent Logistics Management Award (ELMA) for Warehousing Services

On 28 August 2019, JPK Cold Storage Co., Ltd., led by Mr. Jitchai Nimitpanya, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, received from Deputy Prime Minister and Commerce Minister Mr. Jurin Laksanavisit on the company’s behalf the 2019 Excellent Logistics Management Award (ELMA).

JPK, an affiliate of JWD Group, provides comprehensive cold chain management services, covering public cold storage and freezing services, which have the capability to store products at a temperature ranging from -40 to +25 degrees Celsius. The company uses information technology to enhance its storage capability, save time in data management, and accelerate the provision of services to customers, who tend to demand quicker services.

JPK’s Strong Points that Earned It the ELMA

  • Its warehouses are in strategic locations for logistics and product distribution, i.e. near Industrial Ring Road, Suvarnabhumi Airport, Khlong Toey Port, and Laem Chabang Port.
  • Its cold chain logistics solutions, such as defrosting, product labelling, sorting by weight, and packing, are tailor-made for different customers.
  • The company uses information technology to improve its performance. For example, the temperature can be controlled through smartphones, and “Big Data” is collected and analysed to deliver insights regarding marketing, the provision of services to customers, and performance.
  • The company is flexible and has the ability to adjust and enhance its potential in a bid to deal effectively with increased competitiveness and changing economic and political environments.

JWD Joins TILOG-LOGISTIX 2019

During 28-30 August 2019, JWD Group, in collaboration with its Vietnamese partner, Transimex Corporation, hosted a booth under the theme of “Let’s Embark on Our New Journey Through Network and Collaboration”, at the TILOG-LOGISTIX 2019, to attract e-Commerce, project cargo, and overseas logistics solutions. The event was held by the Department of International Trade Promotion of the Ministry of Commerce, at BITEC, Bangna.

Trade Representatives from Malaysia and Indonesia Visit a JPK Cold Storage Warehouse

On 29 August 2019, JPK Cold Storage Co., Ltd. held a reception for a group of trade representatives from logistics operators in Malaysia and Indonesia, who visited its cold storage warehouse in Bangna. Many companies showed their interest in JPK’s services. Business collaboration opportunities may be explored in the future.

JWD Transport Wins Thailand Top SME Awards 2019 for its Excellent Transportation and Logistics

On 27 August 2019, Miss Amrapharn Bunditkitsada, Managing Director of JWD Transport (Thailand) Co., Ltd., received on behalf of the company the Thailand Top SME Awards 2019 for excellent transportation and logistics from Professor Emeritus Kasem Watanachai, M.D.

DataSafe Welcomes Inspectors from Ministry of Labour

On 26 August 2019, DataSafe gave a warm welcome to inspectors from Ministry of Labour, led by Mr.Tawach Benjathikul, Deputy Director General of the Department of Skill Development to follow up and inspect the skill development for labour into SME 4.0 project which the company has joined for this year.

Dr. Eakapong, CFO of JWD, Talks at Insight Financial Management Seminar

On 23 August 2019, Dr. Eakapong Tungsrisanguan, CFO of JWD InfoLogistics Plc., was invited by the Stock Exchange of Thailand to speak at the Insight Financial Management seminar, which discussed professional financial management to enhance the potential of businesses. The participants were representatives from listed companies and funds.

Safety Center Gives Basic Knowledge of Chemicals and Hazardous Substances to Laem Chabang International Terminal Co., Ltd.

Safety Center was invited to send a speaker to provide basic knowledge of chemicals and hazardous substances to employees from different units of Laem Chabang International Terminal Co., Ltd. during its training session on 14 August 2019.

Safety Center and DGC Attend the Second Security Workshop and Drill of 2019

During 13-16 August 2019, Safety Center and DGC attended the second security workshop and drill of 2019, held under the Washington State Partnership Program, in an attempt to ensure their readiness for coping with emergency events regarding chemicals and dangerous goods. The activity was made possible thanks to the cooperation and support of Laem Chabang Municipality, a rescue team, a medical team in Chonburi Province, and terminal operators.

Q2/2019 Operating Results

In the second quarter of 2019, JWD earned net profits of THB 79.8 million, up 64%, and its revenue reached THB 869.4 million, up 11.3%. The expansion of most of its businesses was satisfactory. The company started to realise profits from the investment in Transimex Corporation in Vietnam.
