No.1 Model of Public Cold Storage in Thailand

JWD Cold Chain Group has contributed largely to the JWD group in regard to income and fame. Today, we will explain the origin of the term “No.1 Model of Cold Storage”.

JWD Cold Chain Group consists of 3 cold storage companies and 1 cold storage transportation company, namely; Pacific Cold Storage – Mahachai (PCS), JWD Pacific – Suwinthawong (JPAC), JPK Cold Storage – Bangna (JPK) and Pacific Logistics Pro Limited Company (PLP). We provide complete temperature-controlled storage and transportation services responding to the food industry located in the largest strategic logistics location in Thailand with an area of more than 80,000 square meters.

Cold Chain Group has always been awarded and certified with standard systems certifications in all dimensions which guarantee our capability in temperature-controlled storage management and transportation. Using IT Technology as a core, we are responsive to any customer needs by initiating any new solutions, cutting costs in business operation and reducing goods delivery waiting time.

In year 2020

  • JPAC was awarded with the ELMA Award in Warehousing Services
  • JPK was awarded with the Certificate of Honour for Being a Good Role Model in Large Business Type from the Department of Industry Promotion
  • PLP was awarded with the Certificate of Honour for Being a Good Role Model in Large Business Type and the Trophy of Honour for Excellent Development in Large Business Type from the Department of Industry Promotion
  • PLP has passed the Q Mark Quality Standard Certification in Transportation Service by Trucks and Q Cold Chain Quality Standard in Agricultural and Food Product Transportation by Temperature-Controlled Trucks from the Department of Land Transport
  • PCS is the first company in Thailand to be certified with the FSSC 22000 standard

Based on our previous successes, the Cold Chain Group is planning to expand our businesses by offering standard cold room service and distribution centers in main cities across regions. We will focus more on offering short-term storage to collect and distribute goods to their destinations. This goes hand in hand with an expansion of cities and the growing trend of food ordering through delivery service providers. We also plan to establish a partnership with both producers and service providers to create an on-site service business model close to industrial areas.

JWD announced Q2/2020 operating results in JWD Opportunity Day and Analyst Meeting

On the 20th and 24th of August, Mr. Charvanin Bunditkitsada (CEO) and Dr. Eakapong Tungsrisanguan (CFO) attended the JWD Opportunity Day and Analyst Meeting while also announced the operating results of Q2/2020 to institutional investors, analysists and retail investors.
 


JWD shows performance stronger than overall logistics market H1/2020 revenue increases 4.9% to MB1,853.4 amid COVID-19 H2 results likely to reflect improved economy and demand in automotive sector

JWD InfoLogistics Public Company Limited (JWD) announced the performance that is stronger than the overall logistics market with the H1/2020 revenue increasing by 4.9 percent to 1,853.4 million baht despite the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic due to the respectable growth in the general cargo warehouse and the cold storage businesses.
 

JWD executives participated in workshop to revise and set up direction and growth plan for business

On the 24th of August, executives from JWD participated in a workshop to revise and set company’s business direction, long-term growth strategy and looking for fresh business opportunity for the JWD Group.

CEO & CCO led management team in brainstorming plans of current and new business growth (New S-Curve)

On the 1st of September, JWD management team attended in a brainstorm session to plan for growth for current and new business (New S-Curve).

DGC Division and Safety Centre participated in Laem Chabang Port Public Relations Network’s year 2020 project of tree planting

On the 1st of September, the DGC Division and Safety Centre participated in planting trees under the Laem Chabang Port Public Relations Network’s year 2020 project. The project was a cooperation between Laem Chabang Port and port operators within “The Laem Chabang Network, The TLC Network and The Green Network” zone. This helps portraying an image of a well-structured environmental management system and cooperation between operators in regards of the environment within the area of Laem Chabang Port.

JPAC won ELMA 2020 Award

On the 31st August, JWD Pacific, led by Mr. Jitchai Nimitpanya (JWD Deputy CEO), participated and was awarded the Excellent Logistics Management Award 2020 (ELMA) in Warehousing Services for the second consecutive year. This represents our excellency and efficiency in logistics management with a use of modern technology to enhance storage management capability.

JPK and PLP won awards from the Enhancement and Development of Performance and Management System for Logistics Management Provider Project

On the 26th of August, Mr. Jitchai Nimitpanya (JWD Deputy CEO) attended a ceremony awarding 2 awards and certificates for JPK Cold Storage and Pacific Logistics Pro under JWD Cold Chain Group. The ceremony was held at the Swissotel Le Concorde Ratchada by the Enhancement and Development of Performance and Management System for Logistics Provider Project under a supervision by the Department of Industry Promotion.

Mr. Nattapume Pavaratn attended the “Elevating Storage, Silo and Cold Storage into The Digital Age” seminar

On the 18th of August, Mr. Nattapume Pavaratn, a JWD executive and the president of Warehouse, Silo and Cold Storage Business Association, shared his vision to the “Elevating Storage, Silo and Cold Storage into The Digital Age” seminar organised by the Department of Internal Trade under the Ministry of Commerce.

L-Complex Division, DGC Division and Safety Centre participated in annual basic fire extinguishing training and fire evacuation drill 2020

On the 15th and 22nd of August, L-Complex Division, DGC Division and Safety Centre conducted the annual basic fire extinguishing training and fire evacuation drill 2020 at the Laem Chabang storage area and Laem Chabang hazardous storage area, accordingly. An expert and a trainer from the Laem Chabang City Municipal Office conducted the training and revision to prevent fire hazards and prepare for any emergencies in the area.

Safety Centre and DGC Division welcomed and showed Chonburi Provincial Maritime Enforcement Command Centre hazardous goods storage system and management

On the 10th of August, Safety Centre and the DGC Division welcomed the Chonburi Provincial Maritime Enforcement Command Centre and showed the hazardous storage management system and the company’s strict security measures to prevent and lessen risks of emergency incidents.

JWD 41st Anniversary Ceremony in 2020

On the 10th of August, Mr. Charvanin Bunditkitsada (CEO) together with the head quarter’s management team and staff participated in religious rituals. The rituals consist of an Islamic and a food and lunch offering ceremony for Buddhist monks to pray for prosperity for the management team and all associates.

PCS opened its robotic cold storage for visitors

On the 4th and 7th of August, Pacific Cold Storage welcomed visitors from the Program for Senior Executive in Juridical Administration (BYS.24) and the Brave Generation People Program (Kon Gen Gla) and showed the visitors the Company’s operations of the Automated Storage & Retrieval System (ASRS) enabled area and the cold storage area.

The Cold Chain Group participated in operational standard training session for examiner in logistics

On the 1st of August, The Pacific Cold Storage together with JWD Pacific and JPK Cold Storage sent representatives to participate in the Operational Standard Training Session for Examiner in Logistics, Warehouse Management, Inventory, and Distribution held at the Grand Mercure Fortune Hotel.

PCS held 2020 annual religious ceremony

On the 30th of July, Pacific Cold Storage held the 2020 annual ceremony involving an offering of dried food and lunch service to 9 monks to pray for prosperity and wellness of the management team and all colleagues.

Rules in Looking for STARS

  1. When a manager or a direct supervisor notices a colleague under your supervision demonstrates behaviors demonstrating to at least 1 or more of the Company’s 5 core values (STARS), the manager or direct supervisor are to fill in the details of the action in the form recording behaviors corresponding to the STAR values.
  2. Submit the completed form to HR JWD Group Division mentioning Sulakkana (Opal) at sulakkana@jwd-logistics.com.
  3. After evaluating the submitted form, if the behavior mentioned adheres to the Company’s STARS values, the Human Resource Department will send Starts to the colleague.

 
Remarks:

  1. ONE form / ONE event will result in an award of THREE Stars. In that one form/event, the colleague may have demonstrated more than 1 STARS value.
  2. Resources Department holds an absolute right to altering rules and obligations without prior notice. The verdict from the Human Resource Department is final.
  3. The period of the Looking for STARS: Earn 3 Stars Easily by Just Showing Preferred Behaviours event begins on the 1st of September 2020 and ends on the 31st of December 2020.
